2009 Pembroke Dock Midsummer Festival
The Pembroke Dock Festival Group are pleased to say that the fourth midsummer festival, was enjoyed by many people, from within the community and also from afar.
The festival is now a well established event in the Pembrokeshire calendar.
The Festival appeals to all because of a diverse range of activities including dance, music and cultural events.
As the Midsummer Festival is first and foremost a community festival, many events and activities are free to join, and we want you to come along and get involved. The schedule for this year’s festival is as follows:
13th & 14th June - Open Workshops in Pembroke Dock Youth Centre, making Masks, Headwear and Street Decorations in preparation
for the Grand Mexican Street Party.
16th June - Exhibition of Self Expression Artwork at the Anchorage Social Activity Centre & Walk the “Pigs Parade”, a flat, family-
friendly walk with Brian Pratt.
17th June - Exhibition of Self Expression Artwork at the Anchorage Social Activity Centre & Maritime Walk with local expert, David
James.
18th June - Military Heritage Walk with Ron Watts, West Wales Maritime Heritage Boatyard Open Day, Samba Doc “Make-a-
Shaker” workshop & Cheese and Wine evening at the Guntower Museum
19th June - Pembroke Dock Pedal for local children, Teddy Bears Picnic in the Memorial Park, A musical evening with the
Fabulous 40’s Swing Band & Folk Night at the Flying Boat Inn.
20th June - Family walk with Steps2Health, Open Workshops preparing for the Street Party & Grand Mexican Street Party.
21st June - A day of fun in the Pembroke Dock Memorial Park.
FREE Workshops for Llanion families
There will be a number of FREE family workshops in the Pembroke Dock Youth Centre preceding the Grand Mexican Street Party and Funday in the Pembroke Dock Memorial Park. These workshops are open to everyone so please feel free to cone along and get involved:
13th & 14th June between 10am - 4pm & 20th June from 10am until 1pm
