The Pembroke Dock Festival Group, inconjuction with The Pembroke Dock Town Council, Llanion Communities First and

BAPTARA are pleased to announce the workshops and activities that have been arranged in the run up to this years

Lantern Parade which will take place on Friday 11th December from the Pembroke Dock Memorial Park.

Each year this event is growing, and we hope you will come along and make lanterns, join in the parade, gather together for the switching on of the Christmas Lights, singing carols, fireworks and much more....

If you, or anyone you know would like to make a lantern, come along to one of the free open community workshops taking place at the Youth Centre on Bush Streeton Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December, from 10am-4pm. Just drop in- you will need a couple of hours to make a Lantern.

Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Come along with your family and friends and enjoy a magical evening to celebrate the community and the festive season.

The fun begins at 5pm with Professor Panic’s Fire Show kicking off festivities in the Memorial Park in Bush Street. The Lantern Parade will then assemble and leave the Memorial Park at 6pm with Father Christmas.

The lantern carriers and stilt walkers will parade through the town accompanied by Pembroke Dock’s finest music maker’s, Samba Doc, and arrive at the Christmas tree in Lower Meyrick Street to be greeted by local entertainer Neil Thomas leading some rousing carols.

If you would like to make a lantern for the parade, there are Open Family workshops with Space2create, taking place in Pembroke Dock Youth Centre on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December from 10 – 4 with festive refreshments available. There are also adult workshops taking place in the Pater Hall, on Monday 7th (2-4) and Tuesday 8th December (1-3)
