2006 Midsummer Festival
2006 saw the first ever Midsummer Festival in Pembroke Dock.
The Pembroke Dock Festival Group established that they would like to provide an opportunity to celebrate the towns rich history, diversity and identity.
The result was a week to remember - full of dances, walks, live music, a variety of family activities and much more!
2007 Midsummer Festival
In 2007 the Midsummer Festival returned to the town with an action packed schedule of 19 individual events activities and demonstrations as well as a catalogue of workshops that enabled children and families to get involved with the festival and make flags and giant puppets that were subsequently carried through the town during the Grand Midsummer Parade.
In excess of 2,000 people participated during this fun-filled festival!
2007 Midwinter Lantern Parade
2007 saw a huge progression for the Pembroke Dock Festival Group in the launch of the first Midwinter Event - a Lantern Parade!
Community members of all ages and abilities enthusiasticly attended practical workshops where they made lanterns from willow and wax-paper. Atendees then joined in with an evening parade, where the creations were lit and carried through the town to the Christmas Tree, where the festivite spirit was fueled by lantern-lit carols and satsumas, which were donated by the local Chamber of Trade.
2008 Midsummer Festival
The third Pembroke Dock Midsummer Festival took place in June 2008.
The Pembroke Dock Festival Group worked in Partnership with Seafair Haven 2008 to help make this the biggest festival yet!
Over 2,500 people joined in over 17 events including music & dancing from the Simon Care Trio, one of the UK's finest Ceilidh bands and a funday in Pembroke Dock Memorial Park, where families and children learnt circus and bushcraft skills and much more.
2008 Mi
dwinter Lantern Parade
The second Midwinter Lantern Parade was held in December 2008 and was a resounding success!
Over 200 lanterns were made by families and children during workshops leading up to the event and over 200 people turned up to take part in the parade despite the gloomy weather.
The parade was followed by hot food for volunteers and participants which was kindly provided by Llanion Communities First.
2009 Midsummer Festival
The fourth Pembroke Dock Midsummer Festival had a street party as one of its main events, the street party was held on Dimond Street.
The theme for the street party was Mexican and many people came along in the headresses and masks that had been made in workshops, leading up to the event.
Many events were held within the week, these included local historical walks, a cheese and wine evening in the Gun Tower Museum, Teddy Bear Picnic, Big Band night held in the Quins. The events catered for all age groups.

2009 Midwinter Lantern Parade
The third Midwinter Lantern Parade was held on a dry frosty evening.
Nearly all the large lanterns were new designs as the horrendous weather conditions last year destroyed most of the previous lanterns used. There was a fire show within the Memorial Park before the Parade and also Helen an amazing fiddle player in the Youth Club. The Parade was accompanied by Pembroke Docks own drummers, Samba Doc led by the backwards walking Jez. Well done to you all.
Sweets were given out to the children, by Father Christmas's helpers and had been supplied by the Pembroke Dock Chamber of Trade. The evening was rounded off by a fabulous firework display, kindly organised by the Pembroke Dock Town Council.
